- Complex learning and physical needs

The Role: Special Needs Teaching AssistantAs a Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a vital role in supporting students' educational, social, and personal development. This is more than a job - it's a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with unique abilities and challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Classroom Support - Work closely with the class teacher to deliver personalised learning programmes that meet individual needs.
- One-to-One or Small Group Support - Provide targeted assistance to help students engage and progress.
- Personal Care - Offer respectful and sensitive support with feeding, toileting, and hygiene where required.
- Behavioural Support - Implement positive behaviour management strategies to help students develop emotional resilience and self-regulation.
- Communication Support - Use tools such as Makaton, PECS, or AAC devices to help students express themselves and interact with others.
- Resource Preparation - Adapt and create engaging learning materials and use specialist equipment where appropriate.
- Progress Monitoring - Record and report on student progress, contributing to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and working with teachers to adjust strategies.
- Therapy Assistance - Support therapeutic programmes (e.g., speech and language, occupational therapy) under professional guidance.
- School Activities - Ensure safety and engagement during school trips, therapy sessions, and extracurricular activities.
- Team Collaboration - Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a holistic and inclusive learning environment.
