Optometrist / Dartford / £75,000

Optometrist (Domiciliary - 4 or 5 Days per Week, No Weekends) Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and patient-focused Optometrist to provide high-quality domiciliary eye care across Dartford and surrounding areas. This role offers the opportunity to deliver clinically excellent care directly in patients' homes, supporting those who may struggle to access high street services.

With a strong focus on patient experience, longer appointment times, and the latest mobile technology, this is a rewarding role where you can truly make a difference in people's lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive eye examinations in patients' homes
• Provide tailored clinical advice on vision care, spectacles, and eye health
• Manage a daily schedule of approximately 6-7 patients
• Use advanced mobile diagnostic equipment and digital record systems
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with NHS guidelines
• Build strong patient relationships through longer, 1-hour appointments
• Make autonomous clinical decisions with access to remote support when needed
• Team Development:
• Work independently while remaining connected to a supportive clinical team
• Access guidance and second opinions from senior optometrists when required
• Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities
• About You:
• GOC-registered Optometrist
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Comfortable working independently in a domiciliary setting
• Passionate about delivering accessible, community-based eye care
• Adaptable and confident using modern diagnostic equipment
