Advanced Practitioner - Looked After Children

Pro Social Partners are proud to be partnering exclusively with Lambeth to recruit a Permanent Advanced Practitioner within the Looked After Children service.

This is an opportunity to join one of London's most forward thinking boroughs, one that genuinely invests in its staff, its children, and the quality of practice across its services.

As an Advanced Practitioner, you'll play a key role in leading practice across the team, supporting social workers, and ensuring that children and young people in care receive consistent, relationship-based support that delivers lasting outcomes.

• Carry a reduced caseload of complex Looked After Children cases, modelling outstanding practice.
• Support and coach colleagues, offering guidance, reflective supervision, and mentoring.
• Drive high standards of practice and help embed Lambeth's values and systemic approach.
• Contribute to service development and innovation alongside the Team Manager.
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure permanence and stability for children.

You'll be an experienced and confident practitioner with:

• A recognised Social Work qualification and SWE registration.
• Strong post-qualifying experience in children's services - ideally within Looked After Children, Permanence, or Court teams.
• A solid understanding of legislation, care planning, and best practice models.
• The ability to lead by example, supporting others to improve and grow.
• A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for Lambeth's children and young people.
