Job Overview
We are an established High Street law firm based in Stevenage , Hertfordshire. We have been providing legal services for over 40 years and have a client base which is nationwide.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Conveyancer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and breadth of experience in freehold /leasehold sales and purchases, transfers of equity, shared ownership sales and new build purchases . This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently, ensuring smooth transactions for our clients, while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
The successful candidate will be expected to work from our office in Stevenage a minimum of 2 days a week.
Duties
Manage the conveyancing process from initial instruction through to completion, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders to provide updates and gather necessary information.
Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts and transfer deeds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
Conduct property searches and liaise with local authorities as required.
Maintain an organised case management system, ensuring all documentation is filed appropriately and deadlines are met.
Provide exceptional client service by addressing queries promptly and professionally.
Maintain efficient administration of files and billing to meet agreed fee earning targets.
Requirements
Proven experience in conveyancing or a related field is essential.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with clients and professionals.
Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple cases simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
Time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in IT systems related to conveyancing processes is advantageous.
A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation and communications.
