Electrical Supervisor

Our client is a renewable energy installation company specialising in delivering solar PV systems for the commercial sector.

Due to company growth, they are now seeking an Electrical Qualified Supervisor to join the team.

This will be a role mainly based on site, however some office-based work is included. You must be willing to travel and stay away as the location of projects will vary.

Role Overview:
As an Electrical Qualified Supervisor, you will ensure the safety, compliance, and efficiency of our electrical installations. You will oversee the quality of work, ensure compliance with regulations, and sign off completed work. Prior solar PV experience is beneficial but not essential.

Package:

£45,000-£50,000 salary per annum

Generous bonus package (£6-8K per annum)

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all electrical work complies with IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and industry standards.
• Supervise and assess the work of electricians and installation teams.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and certification of electrical installations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance and audits.
• Provide technical support and guidance across the company departments as needed.
• Ensure health and safety policies are followed.
• Problem solve & maintain stock for all proposed scheduled installations.
• Communicate with contractors, and regulatory bodies as required.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified electrician with Level 3 electrical qualifications.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification.
• ECS Gold Card or equivalent accreditation.
• Experience as an Electrical Qualified Supervisor (or readiness to step into the role).
• City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection & Testing.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• Knowledge of electrical compliance and safety standards.
• Previous experience in Solar PV installation (desirable)
• Knowledge of COP grid connected PV systems & EES systems (desirable)
• Commercial installation experience (desirable)
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.
