Our client, a leading engineering and infrastructure solutions contractor, is seeking a skilled Project Planner to join their team to work on multiple Water frameworks in and around London.
Experience Required for Project Planner:
- Degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
- CSCS Card
- Previous experience of working on major Water projects.
- Good understanding of construction sequencing and how a project comes together, gained in a site-level role for a contractor in the UK construction industry.
- Good knowledge of NEC and other relevant forms of contract.
- Experience in leading collaborative planning processes.
- Proficient in Primavera P6/Primavera Cloud and competent in MS Project.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences.
- Innovative and supportive of other team members to enhance the effectiveness of planning across the business.
Job Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Support estimating and delivery teams to ensure adherence to planning standards and procedures.
- Assist in developing and maintaining detailed project plans for tenders, pre-construction, and live projects.
- Establish optimal construction methodologies, sequences, and work outputs.
- Uphold Health & Safety standards throughout planning processes.
- Develop project plan animations for digital rehearsals.
- Review tender programmes for compliance.
- Foster a planning culture with a focus on weekly updates and performance reviews.
- Monitor the critical path, milestones, and advise on potential changes or risks.
- Prepare reports and update site information in line with reporting cycles.
- Capture and quantify claimable delays, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Advise on project risks, float uptake, and impacts on delivery dates.
- Ensure timely monthly and weekly reporting.
- Identify and claim delays and entitlements as required.
