An established company are currently looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join their team. The Estimator role involves preparing accurate costs for manufacturing including materials, labour, equipment, and time whilst supporting pricing strategies, project planning, and profitability.
- Salary: Up to £33,000
- Office based 37.5 hours - early finish on Friday

Estimator responsibilities:
- Accurately preparing time, cost, materials, and labour estimates
- Working with stakeholders to gather information on work scope and requirements
- Maintaining routine quotes and orders in a timely manner efficiently using in-house price lists
- Preparing quotations and proposals for new/existing customers
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Using in-house ERP systems and spreadsheets to generate accurate and timely cost breakdowns
- Evaluating and comparing vendor/supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing
- Monitoring and tracking changes in work scope or production requirements and adjusting estimates as required
- Supporting continuous improvement through analysing data and identifying estimation trends
- Communicating clearly with internal stakeholders and external customers regarding scope and pricing
- Assisting with invoicing and shipping goods when needed
- Maintaining filing and customer communication logs
- Providing support on key accounts, customer visit plan and conferences
Estimator skills/competencies:
- Proven experience within a similar manufacturing/engineering role desirable
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
