Retail Accountant

Retail Accountant Kent/London 45,000 - 50,-month FTC

My client, a leading luxury retail specialist, are looking for a Retail Accountant to join them for a 12-month fixed term contract. You will focus on several key projects within the team with a main focus on balance sheet reconciliations.

Role & Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert in Retail and E-commerce accounting
• Manage account reconciliations (e.g., trade debtors, VAT, deposits)
• Ensure accurate month-end closing per Group policy
• Drive improvements in Accounts Receivable management and cash/commission reconciliations
• Support the retail brand and its bespoke ERP system
• Ensure audit compliance and assist in stock counts and training

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience with balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong communication skills with both finance and non-finance teams
• Advanced Excel and SAP skills; ERP system proficiency
• Ability to handle audits and ensure compliance
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven

Package

• 45,000 - 50,000 as a basic salary
