Job Requirements/Description

Job Purpose: Document Control

Working with this traditional and commercial design and fit out specialist this role for a document controller will be to provide support to all technical members of the on site team.

Administrative support should be provided consistent with company processes, values, and time lines to ensure that team and company goals are met.


This individual will provide support to the site team, including but not exclusively:
Project Document Controller Responsibilities:


Use clients document issuing system including creating and updating production
schedules, document numbering, issuing drawings, and reconciling historical issues
QA check title blocks of documents and drawings before issuing
On selected projects:

  • o Become administrator on external document control sites for issuing and managing documents as needed for certain projects
  • o Download required information from the client's external document site and file on project drive according to procedures
  • o Track incoming drawings, RFIs, and tech subs, and download and distribute to appropriate teams
  • o Upload responses to drawings, RFIs, and tech subs to external document sites

Print and scan drawings and documents as needed
Work closely with project managers and their teams to coordinate issues of documents
and track project deadlines
Assist delegation of document control overflow work with other Project Administrators.
Assist the team with development of new systems.
Assist Support Services Manager as requested
Day to day implementation of company processes in respect of HS&E, BS EN ISO 9001 & ISO 14001

Criteria:
Proficient in construction industry document control systems, such as;

  • - Aconex
  • - 4-Projects
  • - A-Site
  • - Business Collaborator
  • - Newforma (desirable)

Advanced MS Office skills
Experience of Deltek Vision (desirable)
Numerate
Excellent organisational skills
Extremely detail orientated and methodical
Adaptable to varying responsibilities and tasks
Ability to multi-task
Highly proactive with the ability to set priorities, follow up and meet deadlines
Robust personality, able to communicate clearly, get on well with others at all levels and
work well in a team
Awareness of ISO Standards and auditing, or willingness to learn
Ability and interest in facilitating continual improvement systems
Educated to A Level or life equivalent
Reliable and Punctual
