Junior Water Technician

I am working with a leading service provider who are seeking an entry level water technician to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers industry leading training, progression plan, and chance to up skill in other areas of FM (mechanical, electrical & plumbing).

Duties

• To ensure the waste water treatment plant area is maintained in a clean and tidy state, by carrying out general housekeeping on a daily basis
• To ensure regular monitoring and supervision of the operation of the plant.
• Ensure a proactive approach to the cleaning and monitoring of the plant
• Proactive removal of materials and waste such as pallets, chemicals and bales to the correct storage locations
• Monitoring of Waste Storage areas to ensure collections by external contractors are achieved in a timely manner and that other contractors are keeping the area in a tidy and safe manner.
• Supervision of chemical and acid deliveries
• Audit and inspection of site contractors
• Maintain various records and documentation (Maintenance, Reports, Health and safety and Quality).
• Communication with contractors to arrange deliveries and collections and ensuring stocks are kept to the desired levels
• Undertake any tasks as designated by the Facilities Manager

Requirements

• Career driven and hungry to grow with a company
• Knowledge of site based health and safety
• Experience in facilities maintenance (desirable, though not essential)
• Qualified to GCSE level in Maths, English and Science
