Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a specialization in Mechanical Services to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing costs for mechanical projects, from initial calculations to final figures.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in client requirements, feasibility studies, and cost analysis for mechanical projects, including tenders, repair, and maintenance work.
Prepare and analyze project costings and tender documents, negotiate contracts and work schedules with subcontractors and suppliers.
Allocate and oversee subcontractor work, ensuring projects remain within budget, perform risk and value management, and provide advice on procurement strategy and contractual claims.
Develop responses to commercial risks, write detailed progress reports, value completed work, and oversee bills and payments.

Requirements:

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field, and professional qualification (e.g., MRICS, RICS, CIOB).
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, focusing on mechanical services, with strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
Excellent numerical, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in cost management software and measuring software (Ensign), with knowledge of ductwork and ductwork takeoff systems (Ensign).
Have a basic understanding in ductwork systems in order to complete take-offs for material bought goods.
