Senior Critical Care Technologist - NICU & PICU

Salary Range: £44,800 - £53,150 per annum pro rata (NHS Agenda for Change)
Grade: SDE (Band 6 equivalent)
Location: Denmark Hill & PRUH, Orpington
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, rolling rota including weekends

Our client is seeking a Senior Critical Care Technologist to join thier Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (NICU & PICU) team. This is a vital role providing expert technical support across both sites, managing a wide range of medical devices and equipment used in critical care settings.

You will be responsible for:

• Delivering training and competency assessments for clinical and technical staff.
• Supporting point-of-care testing and patient transfers.
• Providing technical advice and troubleshooting support.
• Ensuring safe and effective use of specialised medical equipment.
• Contributing to procurement evaluations and service development.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Degree in a relevant scientific subject (e.g. Physiology, Biomedical Science, Biomedical Engineering) or HNC in Medical Physics & Physiological Measurement with significant CPD.
• Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. Society of Critical Care Technologists).
• Substantial experience in a busy critical care environment.
• Strong communication, IT, and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in teaching and staff development.
