Temp 1st line IT Support

Are you someone that is looking for a break into IT?

Do you have great people and communication skills?

Do you have some experience doing 1st Line IT Support - sorting out the basic IT issues - have you turned off / on again? Have you rebooted? All the time being friendly, calm, helpful and professional?

Are you available asap for 6 months or so?

Location: Houghton Regis, Beds

Rate of Pay: 12.74ph rising to 14.40ph after 12 weeks

Days/Hours of work: Mon- Fri 9am 5pm (35 hours per week)

Overview of the role:

• 1st Line Technical Support using Service Desk Software (Samanage).
• undertake UAT testing with the team when required
• Provide efficient and effective support to system users.
• Ensure that service desk requests are logged and processed efficiently, effectively and in a timely manner
• Resolving tickets on a 1st line level and where necessary, take detailed info and escalate to a more senior IT personnel for support.
• Undertake any other related work under the direction of the IT Management Team

Person Requirements :

• Highly motivated with excellent administrative and organisational skills
• Good experience of IT systems and accurate keyboard skills
• Excellent customer service skills, both in person and on the telephone
• Experience in working in a customer focused environment
• Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
• Previous Service Desk experience
