TWC / Senior Site Manager (Carpentry Background)
Fairmead is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a valued client for a highly skilled Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) / Senior Site Manager to join an exciting project in Euston (HS2). This is an incredible opportunity to work on a "Cut and Carve" project that requires a talented professional with a strong carpentry background and expertise in complex construction processes.
Role Details:
- Position: Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) / Senior Site Manager (Carpentry background)
- Location: Euston (HS2 project site)
- Start Date: Immediate
- Rate: 350 to 400 per day (depending on experience)
- Duration: 9 months
- Project: A "Cut and Carve" construction project involving carpentry, brickwork, and scaffolding.
Key Responsibilities:
As a TWC / Senior Site Manager, you will take a leadership role in ensuring the successful execution of this project, with specific responsibilities including:
- Temporary Works Coordination: Oversee and manage temporary works operations to ensure safety and compliance.
- Health and Safety Management: Prepare and enforce risk assessments, method statements, and ensure adherence to all HSE regulations.
- Programme Management: Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring milestones are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Technical Oversight: Utilise your strong carpentry expertise to guide technical decisions and problem-solving on-site.
- Documentation and Reporting: Write and maintain detailed method statements, risk assessments, and progress reports.
- Team Coordination: Work closely with subcontractors and the wider project team to ensure smooth coordination across all disciplines (e.g., scaffolding, brickwork).
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Qualifications:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- First Aid Certification
- Temporary Works Certificate
- Experience:
- Proven track record as a Senior Site Manager or Temporary Works Coordinator on "Cut and Carve" projects.
- Strong background in carpentry with technical expertise in construction processes.
- Proficiency in writing method statements, risk assessments, and managing Health & Safety.
- Experience with scaffolding and brickwork.
