We are looking for Night Hygiene Operative to join our Hygiene Unit in Park Royal. In this role, You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation across designated areas in a facility, typically within food production and manufacturing environments. This role is essential in ensuring that the work environment complies with health and safety standards and regulatory requirements, minimizing risks of contamination or hazards.

About you

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough cleaning of production equipment, machinery, floors, walls, and workstations in line with company hygiene standards.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery parts, where necessary, to ensure complete sanitation.
• Use specified cleaning chemicals and equipment to effectively remove dirt, debris, and other contaminants from surfaces.
• Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste according to waste management protocols and recycling policies.
• Maintain records of waste disposal and communicate any discrepancies or issues to the group manager.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Ensure compliance with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations and maintain proper labeling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Report any safety hazards, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor promptly.
• Conduct routine checks to ensure that cleaning standards are met and identify areas that may require additional attention.
• Complete hygiene records and documentation accurately and on time.
• Safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and vacuums, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Report any equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team and arrange for repairs as necessary.

Our Requirements:

• Previous experience in industrial cleaning, especially within food manufacturing or production environments, is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided.
• Strong attention to hygiene details and a commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, basic record-keeping skills.
• Familiarity with health and safety practices, including the safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Punctual and dependable, especially given the responsibility of working unsupervised during night shifts.
• Ability to work independently and proactively manage time to complete tasks efficiently.
• Willing to assist other team members and contribute to a collaborative working
