Fire Engineer

A forward-thinking fire engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to join their growing team. Whether leading major schemes or contributing to specialist project stages, as a Fire Engineer you will play a visible, valued role in shaping safer buildings and stronger client relationships.

The Fire Engineer's Role

• Develop performance-based fire strategies in line with ADB, BS 9999, BS 9991, and the Building Safety Act
• Produce clear, compliant fire strategy reports from concept through to completion
• Contribute to fire modelling and advanced calculations (CFD experience advantageous)
• Engage directly with clients, design teams, and authorities across all RIBA stages
• Conduct site inspections, reviews and risk assessments
• Support junior team members and technical development initiatives

The Fire Engineer

• Degree in Fire Engineering or closely related field
• 2-3+ years' experience in a UK fire consultancy or multidisciplinary environment
• Proven ability to deliver quality reports and client-facing technical advice
• Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and codes
• Progressing towards MIFireE or IEng / CEng status (or actively interested)
• Proactive and collaborative, with a clear, solution-focused mindset

• £45,000 - £60,000 base salary
