We are seeking a motivated and analytical Strategy & Corporate Development Analyst to join the Group Strategy & Corporate Development team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on key initiatives that drive the growth and success of Johnson Matthey. You will play a critical role in supporting strategy development, market/competitor analysis, and corporate development activities across our businesses.

Your responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed research on market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and threats
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans, including business case preparation, scenario analysis, and forecasting
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, across functions and business units, on strategic projects to enhance performance aligned with strategic goals
  • Prepare and deliver detailed presentations and memos, including for: for management, leadership teams, GLT and the Board
  • Collaborate on executing and integration of M&A or other corporate development transactions (such as JVs or partnerships), including strategy, due diligence, financial analysis, post-merger integration and coordinating with external advisors
  • Contribute and collaborate on special projects and initiatives as required

Requirements for the role:
  • Strong financial literacy e.g. understanding of financial statements, financial modelling, NPV
  • Communication skills: verbal and written; ability to present complex ideas effectively to senior stakeholders
  • Collaborative working style in a team environment
  • Exemplary professional integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Stakeholder management and engagement across functional, business and Group leadership
  • Degree qualified in Financial or economics, masters or MBAs of interest
