Teaching Assistant - Hornchurch School

Recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a class of KS1 students with general Teaching Assistant duties and support a student 1-1 with a medical need, including the management of a catheter in the morning and in the afternoon of the school day.

For the role we are looking for someone calm, caring, motivated and able to build trust and offer consistent support to all the students in the classroom with their learning and development.

To start as soon as possible - Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm (Term time only)

Teaching Assistant Role:

• To work alongside the class teacher with all aspects of the students learning and to motivate them to achieve in the classroom.
• To have experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or care setting.
• Is confident supporting the students medical or personal care needs.
• Shows empathy, professionalism, and patience at all times.
• Qualified with a L2/L3 Teaching Assistant, Care or SEND qualification
