WithYou is a leading UK charity supporting over 100,000 people each year with challenges around drugs, alcohol and mental health. We provide free, confidential services without judgement across England and Scotland - from community treatment and harm reduction programmes to young people's clinical and mental health support through our Talking Therapies services, in person or online.
Our vision is a future where everyone can live a life free from the harm associated with drugs and alcohol. To help achieve this, we are seeking to appoint a new Clinical Trustee to join our Board as we deliver our ambitious 2025-30 strategy.
As a Clinical Trustee, you will:
Bring independent clinical insight and expertise to the Board. Provide assurance on quality, safety, and clinical governance and risk. Champion evidence-based, trauma-informed, person-centred care. Play an active role in strategic decision-making, ensuring we continue to deliver safe, effective and high-quality services for all those we support. Support the Executive team as a trusted sounding board on clinical issues, innovations, and clinical workforce development.
We are looking for a compassionate and strategic leader with a senior clinical background in psychiatry, psychology, addiction/substance misuse, public health or a related field, who can bring both professional expertise and governance experience to our Board. You will have a strong track record of contributing at executive and/or non- executive level, with a deep understanding of clinical governance and safeguarding.
Above all, you will bring a passion for our mission, a steadfast commitment to tackling stigma and reducing health inequalities, and the collaborative spirit needed to work effectively with fellow Trustees and the Executive Team.
Time commitment: Approximately 1-2 days per month, including quarterly Board meetings in London, Committee work, and service visits.
Remuneration: This is a voluntary role; all reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
Term: Three years, renewable once.
WithYou is fully committed to maintaining the diversity of its Board. To this end, we welcome applications from candidates with different skills, life experiences and backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from candidates from underrepresented communities and those with lived experience.
