Experienced SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant Maidstone

Full-Time, Long-Term Contract Until July 2025

Supply Desk are seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child in KS1 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a 1:1 basis. This long-term opportunity is at a large, well-regarded primary school in Maidstone. The position is available immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential to extend further.

We are looking for a patient, reliable, and consistent individual who is understanding of each child s unique circumstances and needs. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the educational journey of children with special educational needs.

The ideal candidate should:

• Have experience supporting children with SEND, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), on a 1:1 basis.
• Be patient, proactive, and flexible in their approach to supporting children s individual needs.
• Be reliable and consistent in maintaining routines and building trust.
• Have training or experience with Makaton, PECS, or be Team Teach trained (preferred but not essential).
• Be a strong communicator who can effectively work as part of a team.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.

Role Details:

• Location: Maidstone
• Position: 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant (KS1, ASD)
• Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (until July 2025)
• Daily Pay: £85 to £100 (dependent on experience)
• Start Date: Immediate
