Attendance Officer
- Annual Salary: £32,215 - £34,211 FTE (£28,172 - £29,918 pro rata)

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Attendance Officer to play a key role in supporting and improving student attendance across the school. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' education by helping them overcome barriers to learning and promoting a culture of punctuality, consistency, and engagement.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Monitor, analyse, and report on student attendance using our management systems (Arbor).
- Communicate effectively with students, parents/carers, and staff to ensure a robust approach to attendance and punctuality.
- Work closely with the AVP and Education Welfare Officer to design, implement, and evaluate attendance interventions.
- Build positive relationships with families to support students where attendance is a concern, conducting home visits when necessary.
- Collaborate with external agencies and the Local Authority where appropriate, including managing Fixed Penalty Notice referrals and CME procedures.
- Provide accurate data and reports to inform SLT decisions and contribute to whole-school improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Organised, approachable, and confident communicator who thrives on building relationships and making a difference.
- Strong attention to detail and a solution-focused mindset.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, identify trends, and take initiative to improve outcomes.
- Experience in an educational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of attendance legislation and DfE guidance would be advantageous.
