Residential Building Surveyor (Assoc / MRICS) North & North East London / Greater London / Hertfordshire Home-based High earning potential Uncapped bonus

MLA Recruitment is working with a well-established, highly regarded private client surveying practice that is looking to appoint an Associate or MRICS Residential Building Surveyor due to continued growth and new client instructions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor seeking strong basic pay, exceptional bonus potential and long-term stability, with no mortgage or lender work.

The Role:

You'll be undertaking Level 2 and Level 3 Home Surveys, with and without valuations, for private clients only.

  • Circa 20 surveys per month
  • Typical annual fee income £200k+
  • Realistic turnaround targets
  • Quality-focused workload with strong admin support
  • Where experienced, additional services include - Party wall work, RCAs, estimated costs and feasibility advice on proposed alterations and extensions.

Location & Working:

Covering North London, North East London, Greater London and parts of Hertfordshire but wider or overlapping elements of this would be considered.

Home-based, with office attendance around one day per week or fortnight

Flexible working and compressed hours available

Salary & Bonus:

Competitive basic salary up to £80,000+ depending on experience

Uncapped quarterly bonus: 20% of income above an agreed threshold (£20,000+ per year achievable on a standard workload)

Paid quarterly and simple to track

CPD fully funded

Workplace pension

Mileage allowance 45p per mile

Progression Opportunity to diversify into defect surveys, commercial surveys, schedules of condition, Red Book valuations and party wall work, with scope to support the Department Director and earn additional referral-based bonuses.
