We are hiring a
Financial Controller to join our clients growing team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in managing the company s financial operations and providing administrative support to ensure seamless day-to-day business operations.
About the Role: As the
Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:
Finance Responsibilities: - Managing monthly P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Producing and managing accounts and financial statements.
- Overseeing aged debtors and managing payment runs.
- Completing bank reconciliations, raising invoices, and processing purchase orders.
- Preparing VAT returns, CIS monthly reports, and subcontractor payment certificates.
- Monitoring departmental performance and contributing to financial strategy decisions.
- Managing tax and compliance obligations.
- Producing accurate management reports.
Office Administration: - Managing employee benefits, holiday records, and insurance renewals.
- Maintaining trade body registrations and health & safety compliance.
- Ordering materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Updating and maintaining the company website.
Health & Safety Compliance: - Managing staff and subcontractor training schedules.
- Updating policy documents and maintaining supplier H&S records.
- Coordinating with contractors on technical requirements and equipment schedules.
- Ensuring project documentation and certifications are accurate and up to date.
About You: To succeed as a
Financial Controller, you should have:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Knowledge and experience with Xero Accounting Software
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
- The ability to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members.
