Technical Sales Specialist
(Based in Uxbridge UB8)
The successful Technical Sales Specialist will have been instrumental in achieving sales growth in their previous roles and will have a strong track record of regularly achieving or outperforming your own targets.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote the company's products, maintain exisiting relationships and find new potential customers
- Find and explore new potential vendors internationally
- Refine specifications and select the applicable equipment to meet customers specification
- Apply knowledge of flow equipment range to advise customers on appropriate solutions
- Input into bespoke designs to meet customers requirements
- Work closely with customers on the phone and via email (but also in person when a specific project or a customer requires it)
- Routinely prepare quotations and proposals in line with customer requirements
- Prepare cost estimates and generate pricing in line with company guidelines
- Communicate with suppliers/manufacturers on technical and commercial issues where necessary
- Maintain contact with customer after proposals have been made in order to ensure that the contract is won.
- Contribute and report on opportunities during the monthly sales meeting
- Provide support for marketing campaigns
- Act as an influential and integral part of the team, proposing changes to improve designs or reduce costs.
- Provide support to the Manufacturing department to develop and product Tamo s own brand product
- The role would be required to work 39 hours a week, exclusively for TAMO Limited.
The successful Technical Sales Specialist will have:
- A good understanding of fluid-related electro-mechanical valves & instruments, with a strong applications engineering background.
- Be based at the office, sales visits nationwide would be required as and when planed.
- A 50/50 split between office and sales visits would be typical.
- Be capable, after appropriate training, of handling technical enquiries and preparing technical proposals for customers.
- You will have a good understanding of fluid-related products (Mechanical & Electronic), possibly with an applications engineering background.
A key part of the role will be business development and prospecting for new customers. You will also be capable, after appropriate training, of handling technical enquiries and in some instances, providing estimates.
