Oncology Pharmacist

Oncology Pharmacist needed in a Private Hospital based in tunbridge Wells.

Location: Tunbridge Wells, Kent

Contract Length: Minimum 6 months

Rate: £41.00 per hour (Umbrella payment available)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30 (30-minute lunch break)

Trident Health is recruiting for an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join a highly regarded private hospital in Tunbridge Wells. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with a strong background in oncology who is looking for a stable, well-supported contract in a modern clinical setting.

About the Role:

You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to oncology patients. The hospital provides a wide range of cancer treatments, and your expertise will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical screening of chemotherapy and supportive care prescriptions
• Verification and checking of oncology products prior to administration
• Liaising with consultants, nurses, and pharmacy support staff to ensure seamless patient care
• Ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and national oncology guidelines
• Supporting the preparation and dispensing of cytotoxic medications (if required)

Requirements:

• GPhC registration as a Pharmacist
• Significant experience in oncology pharmacy, ideally within a hospital setting
• Strong clinical screening skills and attention to detail
• Confidence in working independently and making clinical decisions
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with electronic prescribing systems (e.g., EPMA) is advantageous
