QA Engineer

Job Title: QA Automation EngineerLocation: Slough, Welwyn Garden City or Manchester - 2 days per week onsiteRemuneration: Up to £650 per dayContract Details: Temporary, Full-Time (9 months)

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
• Lead training activities for the Automation Mastery development of the QA team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Lead test planning, execution, and reporting activities.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint goals.
• Drive root cause analysis and defect prevention strategies.

About You:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in test automation across web and mobile platforms.
• Strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript.
• Expertise in automation tools: Selenium, WebdriverIO, Appium, Cypress.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Proven ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Passion for quality engineering and continuous improvement.
• ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent certification preferred.
