Overview:
Wilson Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Food Services Operative to join a dynamic team in Bedford. This role involves food preparation, customer service, and general operational support, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards. The position operates on a 5 out of 7 days shift pattern, 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation and service in line with menu requirements.
• Uphold food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
• Conduct pre-service briefings, ensuring allergen information is communicated effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness in work areas, counters, and dining spaces.
• Monitor and record food temperatures, stock levels, and waste management.
• Support hospitality services and special events as needed.
• Manage stock rotation, labeling, and storage in line with company policies.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and assist with dishwashing when required.
• Deliver excellent customer service, addressing queries professionally.
• Complete end-of-shift tasks to ensure the site is secure and prepared for the next day.

Requirements:

Essential Skills:

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Team player with a proactive approach and attention to detail.
• Understanding of food safety and health regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in a busy food service or hospitality environment.
• Previous supervisory experience or familiarity with high-level customer care.

Additional Information:

• Uniform and PPE provided and must be worn as per company requirements.
• Completion of required training programs, including site induction and e-learning, is mandatory.
• The successful candidate must hold or be eligible for an advanced DBS certificate.
