Autism Support Worker

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous relevant experience.

The Role

Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a number of Autism Support Workers to work in specialist SEND school in Aylesbury. This will be a 1:1 role working with young learners who will need support and encouragement fulfilling their daily routine in school. Autism Support Workers play an important role in helping to create structure and a positive experience in the students pastoral and academic learning, therefore we are looking for a committed, hardworking individual to join the team. This is a full-time role, temporary to permanent role and will require assistance with personal care needs.

Requirements

To be considered for the Autism Support Worker role you must:

• Have some knowledge and experience of working with autistic children, young people or adults
• Be adaptable, resilient, proactive and understanding; able to deal with challenging behaviour effectively
• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff
