Assistant Engineer

Assistant Engineer for Groundworks contractor. Residential development. External works, Groundworks packages in the Maidstone area. Assisting the Site Engineer with setting out for line and level for all site plots, externals, drainage, hard and soft landscaping, CSCS essential. 25,000 - 26,000. Transport may be available.

Assistant Engineer for Groundworks Contractor. Ideally degree qualified in Civil Engineering with some practical site experience on construction sites. To work on a large residential project close to Maidstone with a number of phases.

The role will involve assisting the Site Engineer with setting out for line and level for all externals, to include access road and overall infrastructure, drainage, hard and soft landscaping, car parking areas, RC sub-structure elements, security fences and features.

You will be given one to one training on using modern survey equipment by the Engineer. A good understanding of CAD will be advantageous.

Additionally, you may be expected to help the Site Manager organise the site paperwork, daily site records and diary, personnel and vehicular movements on and off site. You should have previous site experience and ideally be capable of setting up a dumpy level and EDM.

Summary:

• You need to be a capable Assistant Engineer.
• Preferably with a degree or tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Good written and oral skills, IT literate.
• Ideally a car driver, to access the site. No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Transport may be available
• Minimum qualifications, a current CSCS card.
• 25-26,000 PAYE with 25 days holiday
