HGV Fitter

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and dedicated HGV Fitter to join our clients growing team in Thurrock, offering competitive pay and a dynamic work environment. This role involves inspecting and maintaining a fleet of HGV trailers and vehicles, ensuring compliance with all required legal safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service and inspect vehicles to VOSA standards.
• Diagnose and rectify faults as they arise.
• Identify and order necessary parts.
• Perform breakdown duties when required.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the vehicle maintenance system.
• Keep the workshop facilities, tools, and equipment clean and well-maintained.
• Ensure proper use of PPE.
• Perform routine servicing and repairs, including brakes, gearbox, and clutch repairs.
• Work to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics (essential).
• Experience in a busy HGV workshop (essential).
• ADR experience and knowledge (essential).

42 hours per week, between 06:00 AM and 07:00 PM, on a rotating shift pattern.

Salary £DOE + Benefits.
