Our esteemed school in Lewisham, is seeking specialist Teaching Assistants. You will have the opportunity to work closely with students aged between 5 and 19 who require specialized support due to mental health and behavioural difficulties. The curriculum is tailored to their needs, providing a blend of alternative education and GCSE subjects.

Your Impact:

As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing personalized care and support to students facing mental health challenges. Your background in social care, youth work, mentoring, or therapy will enable you to understand their unique needs and create a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive. Through alternative education and GCSE subjects, you will help stimulate their minds and foster their overall well-being.

Job Responsibilities

• Supporting children and young adults with SEMH and complex behaviour needs
• Able to stay calm and de-escalate distressed Behaviour.
• Valid Enhanced DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
• Available 5-days a week
