An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Import and Export Assistant to join a dynamic Logistics team within an established and innovative British company. This position is ideal for someone with 1-2 years' experience in import and export, looking for their next step.

As an Import and Export Assistant, you will support the Senior Import and Export Manager by preparing import and export documents in compliance with customs and government regulations. The role requires a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

The Candidate;

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
• Numeracy skills.
• Experience in preparing shipping documents and raising and completing documentation (desirable but not essential - you must be willing to learn shipping regulations & policies)
• Knowledge or experience in office admin, transport procedures, and shipping.
• Awareness of import/export terminology such as Incoterms, HS codes, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities;

• Record all incoming goods and coordinate "Ex-work" shipments.
• Prepare documents to ensure goods move smoothly through import/export procedures.
• Complete customs declaration entries and shipping documentation.
• Review paperwork to ensure correct billing of customs fees.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to streamline deliveries.
