Contract Manager

Location: Hertford Office-based (4 days/week) - Home-based (1 day/week)
Salary: 55,000 - 60,000 + Car Allowance
Full-Time Permanent

We're looking for a proactive and experienced Contracts Manager. This role offers a flexible hybrid model - 4 days in the office and 1 day from home - and the opportunity to influence performance, procurement, and service delivery.

• Overseeing day-to-day delivery of a reactive and planned maintenance contract

• Managing direct labour teams and supply chain partners

• Driving efficiencies, innovation, and continuous improvement

• Leading procurement activity and negotiating subcontractor packages

• Working closely with commercial and operational teams to ensure value and performance

• Maintaining strong client relationships and upholding safety and compliance standards

• Minimum 5 years' experience with a maintenance or main contractor

• Proven leadership skills and team management experience

• Strong commercial acumen and ability to interrogate performance data

• Skilled in MS Excel and Microsoft Project

• Excellent communication, client-facing and negotiation abilities

• High level of Health & Safety awareness

• Full UK driving licence

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) - essential
