Stone Worktop Installer

Simon Acres Group partnered with one of the premier surface fabricators and bespoke worktop suppliers in UK and are looking for Stone Worktop Installer to join their well established team.

This is a full time, permanent role, offering salary between 30,000 and 40,000 DOE.

Key responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and fit stone and hard surface worktops and other surfaces according
  to project specifications i.e. vanity tops, bath surrounds.
• Install worktops in both residential and commercial properties, ensuring a high-quality
  finish.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to shape and polish stone
  surfaces.
• Read and interpret plans, sketches, and technical drawings for accurate installation.
• Apply adhesives, sealants, and other materials to secure granite pieces in place.
• Repair, refinish, and modify existing granite installations as needed.
• Work closely with designers, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements
  are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety procedures
  and guidelines.

Ideal Applicant:

• Proven experience as a stone worktop fitter.
• Proficiency in using tools such as grinders, polishers, hand/power tools and
  measuring devices.
• Strong understanding of stone properties and handling techniques.
• Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy stone slabs safely.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Punctual with good time keeping.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CSCS card would be an advantage but not necessary.
• Knowledge of different types of stone materials and their applications.
• Full UK driving licence.
