About the RoleThis role offers the opportunity to join a growing Premier Banking team in Central London. As a Premier Relationship Officer, you will be focused on acquiring, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with Premier-level clients, ensuring exceptional levels of service are delivered at all times.
The position combines relationship management, cashiering, and operational banking responsibilities alongside compliance activities such as KYC, KYB, customer due diligence, and enhanced due diligence (EDD).
You'll also play a key role in ensuring regulatory and operational standards are consistently met, while working towards targets for new deposits and supporting the retention of existing client funds.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport management with the collection and review of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) documentation, particularly for high-risk and/or politically exposed clients (PEPs).
Manage and process Premier customer transactions, including cash handling, UK and international payments, and operational activities in line with bank procedures.
Actively monitor for potential fraud or money laundering risks, escalating concerns through the correct channels.
Deliver excellent customer service - greeting clients, responding to requests, and providing support with both day-to-day and complex needs.
Build and maintain client relationships to drive new deposits while retaining existing balances in line with customer needs.
Ensure compliance with operational risk, regulatory standards, and internal policies (e.g. Health & Safety, security, incident management).
Participate in team meetings and engagement activities to contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Support one-off projects or additional activities as agreed with your line manager.
Previous experience in a Premier Banking or UK Retail Banking environment.
Strong understanding of KYC, KYB, and due diligence processes.
Awareness of UK banking legislation and regulation.
Fluency in Arabic would be highly beneficial.
Knowledge of Islamic Finance is advantageous.
Minimum of GCSE-level education (or equivalent experience/qualifications).
High levels of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to put the customer first.
Strong relationship-building skills, able to adapt communication style from customer-facing interactions to compliance discussions.
