Learning Support Assistant (LSA) 1:1 SEN Support

TeacherActive is working with a fantastic school in Epping that is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work on a 1:1 basis with SEN students. This is a full-time position, providing essential support to students with a range of additional needs, helping them to thrive in their educational journey.

• Provide 1:1 support to SEN students, ensuring their individual learning and emotional needs are met.

• Implement tailored learning strategies and assist in classroom activities.

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to enhance student development.

• Monitor and record progress, adapting support strategies where necessary.

• Proven experience supporting SEN students in an educational setting.

• Strong understanding of various special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to making a positive impact.

• A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
