A welcoming primary school in Haringey is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team for a long-term role. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by providing 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with Autism.

Key Details for the Teaching Assistant Role:

• Start Date: Immediate or January 2025 start.
• Location: Conveniently based in Haringey, with excellent transport links and just a short walk from nearby stations.
• Role: Long-term, working directly with a pupil in Year 4.

Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism, ensuring their emotional and academic needs are met.
• Work closely with the class teacher to implement tailored learning strategies.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment to help the pupil engage fully with their learning.
• Monitor progress and adapt approaches to support the child's development.

What We're Looking For in a Teaching Assistant:

• Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally working with pupils with Autism or additional needs.
• A patient, confident, and proactive individual who can use their initiative.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to process one.
