Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Council are looking to recruit a Community Safety Officer - Anti-Social Behaviour to join our team based in Ipswich, Suffolk. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary of £37,280 - £44,075 per annum (pro rata for part time).
This role is open to full time, part time, and job share applications, all of which will be assessed equally.

About the role
As our Community Safety Officer, you will encourage and support others to take an active part in helping the councils develop safe, vibrant and healthy places to live.
This is a key role in supporting and developing place-based community development and engagement programmes to help build communities which are safe, strong, cohesive and confident.
More specifically, this role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Babergh and Mid Suffolk's approach to preventing and designing out crime and disorder in particular anti-social behaviour (ASB) within our local communities.

About you
Educated to degree level or an equivalent level of knowledge gained in the workplace, we are looking for a confident person with an adaptable approach and excellent communication skills as these are key attributes for this role.
You will need to demonstrate a good understanding of what it is like to work within a political environment.

This position is subject to a satisfactory DBS check, and you will need to hold a full driving licence with access to a vehicle.
