Payroll Supervisor + 38-40k + 25 days holiday (plus BH) + 8% pension + Reward discount scheme + Health cover + 1 day WFH (After 6 months probation)
Our client are looking for a Payroll Supervisor to join them on a permanent basis, providing a start to finish processing of monthly and weekly payrolls using COINS payroll software and managing a team of people.
Payroll Supervisor key accountabilities:
- Accurate inputting of payroll information and payroll calculations
- Knowledge of payment and deduction types including statutory payments/ deductions, student loan and court order deductions.
- Processing starters and leaver and issuing P45 certificates
- Corresponding professionally with payroll clients and building relationships
- Recording leave for holiday and sickness, familiar with the leave entitlement due and the relevant calculations
- An understanding of Automatic Enrolment legislation including calculating pension contributions
- Experience with year end procedures and issuing of P60s would be an advantage
- Submitting RTI information via an FPS and dealing with HMRC when queries arise.
- Good understanding of pro-rated pay, including calculations for daily and hourly dates, term-time only employees
- Awareness of payroll related legislation and compliance duties
- Accuracy when processing and inputting information is a must.
Payroll Supervisor Technical Skills/ Knowledge/ Person specification:
- Strong IT (Particularly Excel) skills & extensive payroll experience are required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, organised and detail orientated
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Supervisory skills (including people management)
- Coins ERP experience will be an advantage
- In-house systems training will be provided
