English Teacher

A well-regarded and academically ambitious secondary school in Gerrards Cross is seeking an experienced and passionate Teacher of English to join their department on a permanent basis from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to teach motivated students across all key stages, including KS5, in a school that values creativity, rigour, and high standards.

• Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3, KS4, and KS5
• Planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
• Assessing and tracking student progress to inform teaching and maximise achievement
• Supporting the development of the English department and contributing to whole-school literacy
• Participating in extra-curricular and enrichment activities related to English

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
• Relevant UK-based teaching experience - essential
• Proven experience teaching English up to KS5 - essential
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language
• A reflective and collaborative teaching approach, with excellent classroom management skills
