This is a great opportunity for an experienced Voice Engineer to be working with an international investment bank on a 12 month FTC.
The Voice operations support role provides deployment and operational support for the IPT and trader voice infrastructure within the bank both locally and within the EMEA offices. The numerous voice services are highly visible to the end user and critical in terms of business operations and therefore need to be delivered to a consistently high standard with 100% availability and proactively monitored utilising the various monitoring and alerting tools available.
Role / Principal Accountabilities:
The role is primarily in an operational Voice support function with the opportunity to be hands on with both Voice and networking technologies, as well as drive the integration with various Service Management tools.
Key Objectives:
- Ideally should have knowledge and experience of the various Voice technologies (primarily Cisco) commonly deployed within the Investment bank environments.
- Ability to demonstrate effective troubleshooting skills within the Voice are.
- Ability to communicate effectively with front and back office users and support teams
- Ability to face off to business and technical stakeholders within the business for operational activities as well as have an appreciation of the risk associated with a voice environment and the regulatory controls within it
Skills
- Cisco Unified Comms (Cisco CallManager, Unity Connection, Expressway).
- SIP networking and Cisco IOS based hardware (Voice Gateways, CUBE/SBC etc).
- Verint voice recording (VFC & Verint 15.2).
- ITS Netrix (Dealerboard services)
- BT ITS R18 and above with IP Turret, deployed in a Campus across to DCs or Standalone configuration
- Speakerbus (Hoot & Holler, Broadcast, Intercom).
- Cisco IP TDM/IP Voice Gateways (Private Wire Networking)
- Experience with supporting application integration with AXL & CTI
- Advanced hands on knowledge and experience in configuration of BT Trader profiles
- Some experience of BT SIP based platform Session Manager
- Voice remote working solutions, such as Cisco Expressway and ASA
- Integration with a Cisco video conferencing infrastructure
