Senior Traffic Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Traffic Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Suffolk. As a key member of the traffic engineering team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining the traffic network, as well as supporting active travel initiatives.

• Working on all stages of design, including, feasibility, preliminary, and detailed design.
• Active travel design experience.
• Experience of maintenance of carriageways/footway schemes.
• Collaborating with other teams and stakeholders to deliver traffic engineering projects.
• Conducting site visits and assessments as required.

• Significant experience in traffic and highway engineering.
• Expertise in carriageway design and maintenance.
• Proficiency in all design stages, including preliminary, feasibility, and detailed design.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and deliver within deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible to work 2 days a week from the Ipswich office.
