Job Requirements/Description
We're seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking engineering team within the Defence Industry.In this role, you'll take the lead in designing and developing innovative electronic systems, transforming technical requirements into high-quality, production-ready solutions. You'll be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to exacting standards.Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop digital and analogue electronic circuits, PCBs, and systems.
  • Ensure design for manufacture and test (DFM/DFT) to facilitate smooth transition to production.
  • Perform system integration, testing, and fault finding.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical presentations.
  • Collaborate with external test houses to demonstrate compliance with MoD and European standards (CE/UKCA).
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and change notes.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure effective delivery across all project stages.
  • Follow company Health & Safety and quality management procedures.
About You
  • Strong background in digital and analogue circuit design from concept to product release.
  • Experience in electronics product design and legislative compliance (UKCA/CE, EMC, RoHS, Safety, etc.).
  • Proficient with schematic capture tools such as OrCAD (or similar).
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Current UK Security Clearance (essential).
  • Previous experience working with MoD customers and test standards - ideally within Sonar or related systems.
