Supplier Quality & Development Engineer

Expleo is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality & Development Engineer to join our client's state-of-the-art facility, specialising in high-performance road vehicles. These contract positions, based in Surrey and inside IR35, provide an exciting opportunity to work alongside a skilled team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive optimal profitability outcomes.
- Lead supplier and part risk assessments, and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Report supplier progress to Purchasing and SQA Program teams, including updates on open issues, PPAP part status, and delivery forecasts.
- Track and manage PPAP part approvals in line with delivery plans.
- Oversee the Non-PPAP part concession process, ensuring the "Plan for Every Part" is established to support builds.
- Deliver quality and capacity verification in line with targets.
- Drive the resolution of major open issues, engaging Supplier Senior Management in the process.
- Develop and implement improvement strategies with suppliers.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

- Experience as a supplier quality engineer, with familiarity in PPAP, 8D, trials, and capacity.
- Extrusion experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Background in supplier quality engineering, ideally with extrusion or rubber manufacturing.
- Automotive industry experience is a plus.
