Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDP to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of meal preparation and food safety. As a CDP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering exceptional dishes to our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
Skills
Proficient in meal preparation and food preparation techniques.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Excellent culinary skills with attention to detail in presentation and taste.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential.
