Exciting new opportunity for a Head of Data to join a dynamic team.

The Head of Data Sourcing and Gathering is responsible for the day-to-day management of data across multiple facilities, requiring a high level of coordination to ensure the timely delivery of accurate, high-quality information to clients. This job is responsible for managing data gathering throughout the organisation covering all products.

You will be responsible for approximately 400 staff in multiple locations including the United Kingdom, India, and Morocco with 5 direct reports.

This position reports directly to the CEO and requires 5 days in the London office. This role is dedicated to fostering an inspiring workplace where colleagues can grow together, shape the future, and achieve success as a cohesive team.

Key Responsibilities of the Head of Data Sourcing & Gathering:

  • Work with managers to explore new data sources, innovative methods of data collection, and the integration of machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) where applicable.
  • Manage Heads of Departments including but not limited to organising and leading multiple meetings and providing guidance.
  • Collaborate closely with the HR department on the hiring and managing of staff.
  • Support the training and professional development of teams to enhance performance and skills.
  • Oversee the resolution of client complaints and suggestions, serving as the final escalation point before involving the CEO.
  • Define and enforce governance policies to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions into existing business processes efficiently.
  • Develop scalable and automated data products as well as streamlined reporting processes.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to data quality to ensure accuracy, reliability, and actionable insights.
  • Be available to travel as required to fulfil business needs.
  • Undertake any additional duties as may be reasonably required to support organisational goals.

Requirements

Education/Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in data sourcing and gathering.

Experience:

  • Extensive Hands-On Expertise: Demonstrated experience in sourcing data, gathering insights, and building robust data products.
  • Proven Track Record in Strategy: A history of successfully developing and implementing effective data strategies that drive business success.
  • Industry-Specific Insight: Comprehensive understanding of industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices, ensuring data strategies align seamlessly with business objectives.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Skilled in managing teams, fostering career growth, and cultivating a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Proficient in applying data governance principles and best practices to prioritise and schedule project delivery effectively.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record in building and deploying data-driven solutions.

Aptitudes/Attributes:
