£55,000 - £70,000 Immediate or September Start

Are you an experienced SEN professional ready to take the next step into a leadership role?

Do you want to shape and lead SEN provision in a school where inclusion, quality of support and pupil outcomes are a genuine priority?

A school in London is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable SENCO to lead and develop its SEND provision. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive leadership team and play a key role in driving high-quality, inclusive practice across the school.

You will be responsible for overseeing EHCP processes, supporting staff, and ensuring pupils with additional needs receive the tailored support required to achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the school's SEND provision in line with statutory requirements

  • Oversee EHCP processes, including reviews, assessments and implementation

  • Support and upskill teaching staff to deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching

  • Monitor and track progress of pupils with SEN, ensuring effective interventions

  • Liaise with parents, carers, local authorities and external professionals

  • Work closely with senior leadership to develop whole-school SEN strategy

  • Ensure safeguarding and compliance within SEN provision

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or working towards

  • Strong experience within SEN settings or leading SEN provision

  • In-depth knowledge of EHCP processes and SEND legislation

  • Proven ability to support staff and drive improvements in teaching and learning

  • Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
