SEN - Sen Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs (SEN) in a supportive school environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of students requiring additional support.

• Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the head teacher and SEN coordinators.
• Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom, enabling them to fully participate in activities.
• Work with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, as necessary to assist students.
• Prepare learning materials under the supervision of the teacher.
• Manage student behaviour in the classroom and on school premises.
• Engage with students one-on-one to reinforce learning and support social and emotional development.
• Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents as required.

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or similar role, preferably with SEN students.
• Understanding of the needs and behaviours of SEN students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
• NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
