Medical Laboratory Assistant

We are recruiting for a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our client, an independent clinical testing laboratory based in Central London. They offer pathology diagnostic services across the healthcare sector and take pride in delivering fast results to both clients and patients.

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you are responsible for sample acceptance, booking in, loading samples on the analysers and requesting IQC runs. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the collection, labelling, and preparation of samples
• Process and prepare samples for analysis, including centrifuging, mixing, and separating components as required by lab protocols
• Accurately input patient information, test orders, and results into the laboratory information management system (LIMS)
• Keep track of lab supplies and materials, ensuring stock is maintained and ordering new supplies when necessary

Job Requirements:

• Laboratory experience
• BSc in Biomedical Science or BSc in Biology (human) or Biochemistry
• Willing to learn
