They are looking for an experienced and dynamic Associate Director - Power Systems Engineer with expertise in ETAP to join their team.
Job Overview:
As the Associate Director - Power Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading the design, analysis, and optimization of power systems for large-scale projects. You will be responsible for growing and managing a team of engineers, ensuring the successful execution of projects, and providing strategic direction for the engineering team. This is a senior-level position that requires a deep understanding of power systems engineering and hands-on experience with ETAP software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design and analysis of electrical power systems, ensuring that all designs comply with industry standards and client requirements.
- Use ETAP (Electrical Transient Analyzer Program) for detailed modelling, simulation, and analysis of power distribution networks, fault studies, load flow analysis, and short-circuit analysis.
- Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers, guiding them through complex power systems projects.
- Develop and implement strategic approaches to optimize power system performance and reliability.
- Conduct power systems studies and simulations, ensuring efficient operation of electrical networks in various environments.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
- Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master s degree preferred).
- At least 8+ years of experience in power systems engineering, with significant exposure to ETAP software.
- Strong background in power system analysis, including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, and transient stability analysis.
- Proven experience in managing engineering teams and large-scale projects.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical power systems design, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Leadership and mentorship skills, with a commitment to developing team members.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
